Official Holiday Sources

The schedule of public holidays in Vietnam for 2025 was announced by the government on November 26, 2024. New Year Holiday Schedule, April 30 to May 1 Holidays, and 2025 National Public Holidays The above notification pertains to holidays for civil servants and similar personnel, but the government also recommends that private companies follow this schedule.

Notes

  1. If a public holiday falls on a rest day (such as Saturday or Sunday), the next working day will be a compensatory holiday.

  2. The new Labor Code came into effect on January 1, 2021. The National Day holiday has been extended by one day (to a total of 2 days), and specific holiday arrangements will be announced by the government each year (as stipulated in Article 112 of the amended Labor Code).
